Collectible Vintage Halloween Costumes

If you like to collect vintage toys, you might not have considered collecting vintage Halloween costumes.  There is a surprising number of vintage Halloween costumes in the after marketplace just waiting for someone to come along, collect them, and wear them or display them.

Costumes for Halloween are just not the same today as they were when I was a child.  Searching online, can help you discover some of these vintage Halloween costumes and vintage Halloween masks, which if nothing else may take you back in time down memory lane.  Many costumes are still in their original packaging, brand new in box, and have been preserved very carefully by the owners.  Other costumes may have been worn once or twice for Halloween, but even so a few hours wear does not wear down a costume too badly.

My favorite costume as a girl was a tiger tail that pinned onto my pants, and a tiger mask.  I still have pictured of me wearing the costume.  While you can find fancy costumes today that are well made, they just don’t have the same look and feel as the costumes that we wore as children, and many of the cartoon characters we remember are not even made into costumes anymore.
